VMS Service

Vessel Monitoring System Service

If INMARSAT-C or INMARSAT-D antennas are installed on the vessel, VMS service can be applied for. Vessel position and operational data can be monitored in real time from onshore.

  • INMARSAT VMS can be applied for after satellite service activation.
  • INMARSAT-D devices can be activated and registered for VMS through Suncom.

Government Position Reporting Service

When a shipping company is requested by the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries or other government agencies to report a vessel’s location, a Vessel Position Forwarding Service is provided that allows the company to share vessel and voyage position information without the need to build a separate system.

  • If INMARSAT-C or D equipment is installed on the vessel and satellite communication service is activated, any vessel can apply for the service.
  • For vessels without dedicated position-reporting devices, we offer a variety of equipment options, including Orbcomm and Iridium.
