This system digitizes various documents required for vessel operation into electronic manuals, enabling users to create, search, and view them in a web environment. Manuals created or updated onshore are transmitted to vessels in operation by sending only the modified sections, significantly reducing high satellite communication costs while improving efficiency.
The Korea Meteorological Administration operates weather observation equipment on two fishery patrol vessels and eight vessels under the Korea Coast Guard. The data collected is used for safe navigation, accident prevention, and national disaster forecasting over the Yellow Sea, South Sea, and East Sea. Suncom developed a solution that integrates data extracted from onboard equipment with M2M satellite communication.

his system is designed to ensure the rapid rescue of fishing vessels and their crews in the event of a maritime distress situation. A satellite-based personal locator beacon (PLB) is attached to life jackets, allowing real-time tracking and monitoring of the crew member’s position as it drifts from the initial distress location due to ocean currents. The system provides rescue agencies with accurate real-time location information of the distressed individual.
This solution enables the headquarters of Samsung Heavy Industries to track and verify the location of barges operating at field sites in real time.
This project involved the installation of an internal vessel communication system that integrates WiBro (Wireless Broadband) with PLC (Power Line Communication) on ships commissioned by Hyundai Heavy Industries.
This system detects abnormal behavior of nearshore vessels using RADAR signals to enhance coastal maritime safety.
This monitoring and alert system tracks and manages suspicious vessels by detecting AIS signals.
Onboard vessels, where communication is not as freely available as on land, Inmarsat satellite terminals are used to access data, voice, fax, and email services.
